Josh made this movie for his Mum and it was played at her funeral. I think that it is truly beautiful. I still believe that she is our angel in the sky who sent us our precious Tic Tac. Maybe one day our baby boy will watch this and I would love him to know that his Nan Medley loved him and wanted to meet him so badly even though he was not yet conceived when she passed away. One of her biggest sadnesses was that she would never get to meet her grand children but I believe that she knew about our little boy even before we did.

Getting our nursery painted :-)
Well we've started work on little Tic Tac's bedroom. Yesterday we went to Bunnings to pick out the paint colour and get the necessary materials to paint the room. I felt so inexperienced because I really had no idea what I would need for the job. We just walked through that section and picked out the things that looked essential. I was asking Josh to help me pick out the paint colour and his response was "I don't know. Bubba won't even remember what colour his room is!" I think he wants me to finish nesting LOL.
Anyway I got home and spent the afternoon putting painting tape around the edges of the room and power points. It took a lot longer than I was expecting. Today I taped some newspaper to the floor and Josh fixed the minor dints that were in the walls. Now all we have to do is wash down the walls with sugar soap, sand paper back the wall filler and we will be able to start painting next weekend. I'm hoping by the following weekend, we'll have the paint job finished and the wall paper up. I'm so glad I didn't leave this all until I was super pregnant because it's not easy work.
Here's a before photo so that I can document the process. I'm going to take another one after the walls are done and then a final photo of the completed nursery. So exciting!!!
On another note, Josh actually got to see Tic Tac kicking me last night :-) He's finally started kicking hard enough for it to be noticeable on the outside. He's not very active though. He kicks mostly at night and I almost never feel him kick during the day. He's going to be a night owl like his Daddy.

Happy Birthday Baby Daddy
22+1 week
Well it was Josh's birthday on Saturday and we went out for dinner to Hogs Breath with his family. I ate way too much and was struggling to breath towards the end of the dinner. I decided standing up was my best option for lung expansion. When I stood up, Josh laughed at me and said "Damn you look so pregnant right now.
I still can't believe that a parent at work said "Oh are you pregnant?" last week when I mentioned my pregnancy. From my point of view, it's pretty damn obvious.
I am loving my bump at the moment but today is going to be a struggle I think. The temperature is set to hit 43 degrees and I'm going to work. I just wish I could call in sick because I'm already feeling a little seedy but we've already got one staff member on annual leave and she is not being replaced so there's every chance that I'll have to work back. I'm going to boil in my skin :-(

Merry Christmas Eve everyone :-)
I can't believe that this time next year, we'll have our little boy with us. He'll have no idea what's going on but he'll probably be getting close to crawling and he'll definitely be showing us his personality. There'll be Santa photos and he'll be the most spoilt little boy ever.
The boss is actually making us work Christmas eve but I'm really hoping that a lot of children stay home and it's really quiet. I'm even going to convince the supervisor to let everyone have an hour early mark. She's a bit of a stickler for the rules but seriously it's Christmas eve and the staff aren't all needed for ratio so why be a meany and make them stay until the end of their shift?? They work hard and deserve a little break.
I think Josh is certainly getting more excited about bubby as my belly grows because he's rubbing my stomach a lot more and was even trying to listen to Tic Tac by putting his ear to my tummy. All I want for Christmas is for Tic Tac to give his Daddy one big kick that he can feel from the outside. I think that the silly placenta is going to get in the way of that though. Oh well next Christmas, we will be holding Tic Tac on the outside and fingers crossed I might even be holding another bub on the inside. I'm loving pregnancy and can't wait to do it again :-)

It's a boy!!!
I was actually hoping that Tic Tac was a girl but now that I know that Tic Tac is our little boy, I wouldn't change him for anything. He is growing perfectly and is even a couple of days a head of schedule. I wish the time would go a bit faster because I'm dying to meet him.
When we went for the ultrasound, my bladder was so full that I was actually in pain. I thought I was going to cry because it hurt so much. Mum came with us and I don't think she realised the gravity of the situation because she kept saying things to make me laugh.
Thankfully before the scan started, the ultrasound tech let me empty some of it out. DH couldn't understand how I could just let some out without letting all of it out but when I actually went to go, I think because I'd been holding it for so long, it was only dribbling out anyway LOL.
Anyway here is a photo of our handsome boy. It almost looks as though he's giving us the finger! LOL cheeky boy!

A letter to Tic Tac...
Dear Tic Tac,
Today you are 19 weeks old and Mummy, Daddy and Grandma are going to see you at an ultrasould. We're really hoping to find out if you're a boy a girl today. Although
I have been so excited about finding out whether you're a boy or a girl, I'll be very happy so long as you're happy and healthy.
I haven't even met you yet but it's amazing how much I already love you and can't wait to meet you. I love seeing you making my belly grow and I find myself unconsciously rubbing belly all day long.
Maybe one day when you hit your teen age years and we become the over bearing parents who "never let you do anything" just remember how much we love you and do everything for your best interest.
All our love forever and ever,
Mummy and Daddy xoxox
